Let the eating begin

There is nothing to hold onto
including the idea
of letting go.
Once remembered
the key is simple
let remembering be.
Knowing adds nothing.
Just be
as fully and as deeply as possible.
Doing this
implies an arrogance
and when admitted
implies the humility to match it.
All that I am
is but food for my ambitions.
If it be me
then let the eating begin.

Stumbling upon moksha
Still, in reality.
Awareness is freedom,
Now chosen
as surrender.

My Integral Elevator Speech

The Integral "Holons" folks at asked us to submit our elevator speeches defining Integral. I didn't win, so I am giving myself the liberty to just keeping chewing away at it here:
Integral is a map of consciousness for those who have first identified consciousness as a territory worthy of further study.
It seeks to demonstrate a trajectory of being or an unfolding of will in the manifest world; and it does so by pointing to a continuum of increasing complexity, depth and intensity in the three domains of spirit/mind, energy and matter. In doing so, an Integral view acknowledges that the great wheel of being appears to turn in the direction of “yes” and/or “more”. In other words, truth must be seen for what it IS before it can be related to what it IS NOT. This is what gets things rolling.
Thus, as a practice, therefore, Integral is about first being real, then choosing true, and surrendering to THAT, over and over again. As such, truth is experiened as a recognition of one's identity with what fundamentally cannot be born. And this, in an of itself is seen to be the ultimate creative act.

Leonard leading Sarah's Orphan Choir

Leonard writes:
Undeciphered
let my song
rewire circuits
wired wrong
And with my jingle
in your brain
allow the bridge
to arch again.
©2006 from "All my news"
This is the brave call of the artist, specifically those musical ones who step forward as author composer and performer --being real, choosing true, and giving everything they've got in order to BE for us all.
Music as koan, indeed...
May my heart make an equal claim
to what's being sung
Now
For all.
May I find the voice
of WE
and sing
together, in the orphan choir,
where we "sing with all our might."
Yes Leonard.
The song IS the path
and not the sign.
Thanks for teaching me to fly :)

It makes a difference

"But what difference is it really making?"
he asks,
and for once, I stop to consider,
actually caring to offer him an honest answer.
And so it sits, here with me.
Do I actually know?
Will I EVER know
that a quality of knowing that is void of doubt?
Is this, by inference
what I seek
and thus, why it remains unknowable?
My doubt is the precious background
against which my knowing is being distilled.
Thus knowing is a process of deriving,
the push from the pull
the on from the off
the yes from the no.
Or so it seems.
But even this is just a good stab
at what truth and freedom could be
if it were actually known.
Still
I am here
in the midst of it,
claiming this is it.
And somehow
a pattern of knowing makes me look
for how IT is ME.
And I see
that my very looking
makes this not so.
And so it is.
There is silence here
not so much beyond beneath, or behind
these flip-flops of mind
But through them,
AS them.

Truth and Comfort

If feeling good
becomes more important than truth
you're stuck.
Truth doesn't always feel good
at first, anyway--
though it clears a good space
for the good and the beautiful
to reside...
But only for a time,
and then they too, fade and change.
Truth is naked
and not always in a sexy way.
Don't chase the markers
Be the target.
But an offering of doubt

I am here to offer
what, by inference,
is my doubt,
so that I may know
a true ME.
May YOU trample it fully.
I can only trust that you have
though such trust
still infers doubt
So it sit with it, as it.
I am
but an offering of doubt.

Whatever IT is

I could not love you more
So I always will.
Empty of wanting
and lost in finding
I am forgotten.
The next open window
is NOW.
I am the looking
IT alludes me
Until now.
Whatever IT is
It is ME.

And now ME

It's not what you think
And certainly not what you fear
But neither is it what you hope
It is what it is,
Just that.
And the only thing wrong with it
Is what we bring to it.
Nothing else.
So resist resisting
Let it be.
It is what it is
As it is
Now.
This has been said before
By so many
And now, ME.
